madison ppl

Friday would work. And yes, R/C is a money sucking hobby, but it is sooo damn fun! If you guys want to hit up the track, it is run by MARCCA (http://www.marcca.com/. The track is located right off Hwy 51.

If we want to meet this friday, I'd prefer restaurant for sure, so I can bring my woman (few days shy of 21).

I fly planes.. don't do the cars :) no indoor places to do the planes! LOL

I work 7a.m. to 10 p.m. the next 7 days.. so I'm out this week. Next week though I'm golden. Should we start planning something for next week?

That is a pretty sweet outdoor track. Yes, R/C is very cool. I remember doing that years ago and sold all my stuff already. Not sure I want to dive back in.

Hmmm...meet on Jan 21. That would work for me. Could meet up...let say 6-6:30 for dinner or somethign like that.

Dotties is still around! They moved to Francis Street between Dayton and Johsnon.

Dotties Dumpling Dowry was on Main, and since moved due to the construction of the State Law and Justice Facility(like 3 years ago). Not sure where they went or if they are even still around. I remember it was a huge ordeal to get them to move, as my company erected the building.

Dang! Beat me to it, Turf.

Their Ostrich Burgers are /fantastic!!!/

I've always wanted a mini RC car. I would get one just to have a miniature version of my car that I could take to shows.

Sadly, no Mazda3 bodies yet. But as soon as there is on ... oh yea, time for a new toy.

I have a zipzap? lol

So are u guys planning for this friday? or next friday so everyone can go?

I would really like to go and meet everyone :) Im sure my car isnt as cool as everyone elses since its still stock and all...

Anyways i hope i can meet up with everyone!!

I have like 5 unmodded zipzaps... we could have races :).

I'll be driving an old 91 chev blazer so I'll take the crown of crappiest vehicle for now :). My Mp3 is up on stands and will be until March or April. Then all shall bow down before it's 400 hp greatness :). But yeah it would be fun to do a meet.

Should we aim for 5:30 on the 21st at Cladaugh's Irish Pub? Significant others and random buddies welcome? We could toss in bowling or some bars afterwards depending on the age makeup we have.

Don't worry Bebe, I'm 100% stock except for my stereo headunit.

I think I'd rather opt for meeting next week, gives more time to plan and maybe catch a few people who won't read this thread for a week.

Yeah, yeah, yeah (thumb)

Sunday afternoon? But we dont' have to re-schedule for me.... I'll be hosting meets through NSN from time to time... ya'll will come out I know you will.. who doesn't want some free stuff ;).

Hey, I am not for the free stuff.....I am to see cool cars and ideas to take mine to the next level. Ohh...ok, the free stuff is cool too:)

LOL.. I'll give rides in my toy... the tranny will likely be too touchy for other drivers.. I don't want some poor soul feeling terrible when they sping a gear on me :) LOL.

We hope to have a grill out and a cruise. The cruise will be the difficult part as I don't want to risk anyone getting hurt or doing anything illegal, but it still needs to be hella fun. So I'll be spending a lot of time in the spring plotting that one out!

Time for sleep for me.

Later!

Steve

I ski well, and I'm learning to board. I just went 3 times last year. Sort of had it on the last time out (total of about 4 hours between those 3 times). My girlfriend boards very well. So I definitely want to make it out to Tyrol a few times. It'd be a fun get together.

cool that there are a bunch of us now. We should definitely start planning get togethers...

Anyone up for helping drop a race motor into a car ;) LOL. I don't actually need that help but anyone that wants to learn anything about assembling the car is more than welcome. I'll be tearing the tranny down again sometime in the next week or two.. it's out of the car...

When you drop the motor in let us know, because i know i would like to be there, i want to know these cars, so it would be a good experience just to be there... Hopefully i can meet up with everybody in spring or thereabouts when i have another Protege and hopefully ill have a license yet, or again by then...

will do! I know that I can schedule out as to when things will go back in and the like. The three major things coming up with the motor and car: tranny tear down and inspection/replacement of seals, Installing all auxillaries onto block with the Head and cams and setting up the cams and clearances, and then finally dropping the block back in and assembling the wiring and suspension again.

I'll let you guys know anytime that I'm doing any of those major steps if you want to come out! The garage is heated (50 degrees ish) so it is liveable.

Having trouble sleeping! damn caffeine
