hey guys, I want to do a question about transmission oil.....well I saw the 10-5 page on my manual and says transmission required m-v fluid but in Panama its really hard to get that oil, Mazda dealer says the car has a ford transmision and use mercon v but I see some webs about mazda appears that mercon v its not the same than M-V, I actually add to my car Mercon V and I dont have any shiftting problem at all, who can get me out of this doubt or who can tell me what the equivalent of this oil or that I recommend using on my car......

thanksssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did an atf change in my boss 6 that took mv fluid. I called a couple mazda dealers and only 1 out of 4 said they use mercon. I looked it up in alldata and found a tsb (technical service bulletin) that said mercon v has a different vescosity than mv and should not be used in certain mazdas or else damage occurs. Not sure if its true but either way we went with mv

thanks, I saw that bolletin too but another dealer told me its better use m-v fluid cause the mercon can damage and dont protect your transmision.
