will a manual shift knob work with my automatic? cause i see alot and i want to know if it will work...please help

nope... you need to have a button on the auto to move it and the manual doesn't have that... i believe badger biker changed his auto knob... i would send him a pm... or do a search..

no button or trigger like mechanism?? mmm... i would def send a pm to BB and see what he says as i am pretty sure he put a different one on... i think he even put a boot on it as well...

check out teh thread in the market place about shift boots some where in there is a bit on his auto...

You don't need anything to fit a knob on the auto, just maybe a thread spacer to make it fit properly without wiggling & such.

(to my knowledge) We don't have any mechanism like that on the auto's.

On the Mazda 3's, the automatic shift knob doesn't have a button. You just unscrew the knob to remove it, but the thread on the shifter is small. I was looking at getting another knob and you need one with the spacer so it doesn't move around. I still haven't bought one because the ones that take a allen wrench to put them on always seem to loosen over time. Wish I could find a screw on one.
