My P5 is not lowered but I stll plan on doing so as well.

In stock form and with the Dunlops it is horrible in the winter time. Definitely get snow tires or really good all seasons. And just drive carefully.

Around Toronto the MAIN streets get plowed regularly, but even in stock form my P5 gets stuck on intersections where the snow drifts from the plows have piled up. So be careful about that because they could be ice sometimes.

Anyway, you can do what I do too...on days when I know there will be a huge snow fall, I bring a small shovel and keep it in the hatch. It's bailed me out a couple of times when a snow storm hits while I am at work and the parking lot gets plowed locking in my car. Good luck!
 
my car has the skunk2 coilovers, right now its about 3" lower than stock.. i dont think i had it slammed in this pic but i have driven in my car in these condtions being low..going up hill in deep snow is the only problem, but just keep your speed up and try not to let the wheels spin, use like 3rd or 4th gear if you can..
my mom lives in basalt co, right outside aspen, which is where i spend my winters..and is where this pic was taken..

well i guess i am going to go ahead and lower my car. just to decide between the skunk coilovers and the goldlines since my funds are kinda low. any suggestions or recommendations??
 
i am leaning towards the goldlines just because they are half the price of the skunk and will do what i need them to do.
 
definitely goldlines. better performance, decent drop, cheaper price. VERY cheap. $150 shipped in the vendor section.

i have eibachs and i use 195/55/15's Hankook W40 winter tires, they KICK ASS even getting up my driveway on snow, no problems, i recommend these over aplines since they are cheaper and work the same

I've heard there are possible quality issues with the skunk products. not sure how true it is....just what i've heard.
 
Get a good set of higher profile winter tires (I have 185/65/15's) I would suggest 60's or 55's if you are going real low and that will not only increase your traction and ride hight you will be more confident in winter conditions. I know in Calgary, there is no way I could live without my winter tires...although, most people have winter beaters here cause conditions can be very severe.
