Louisville area shops

Hi..

Don't know if it is the right place to post, moderators feel free to move it :)

I'm thinking about dropping my ride (03 ES), upgrading to mp3 struts and adding a body kit.

I have been in Louisville KY for only less than a month, any recommendation about good reliable shops ?

Thanks !

if you call me monday i can give you a list of louisville shops and their numbers and addresses. i used to work for an aftermarket auto wholesaler and we had about 25 customers in louisville. i have all their info at work. if you want ill pm you my work number.
off the top of my head though, one of the biggest import shops is chaos tuning.

thanks ~

I can certainly call you on Monday, you can also just leave me the phone number of chaos tuning , I couldn't find it in the yellow pages~

Welcome to the state. :D You'll have to come to our next dyno meet we're planning.

hahaha ... thank you thank you

I study in Wisconsin (UW-Madison), but I'm taking a semester off working here in a co-op program ~ love the ppl here and also the WEATHER

I would love to go to the dyno meet, but just think not much point to dyno a 130hp auto car

Hey there.

If you're new to Louisville check out www.Louisvillestreets.com

There are several members who have Proteges, we have car meets and lots of fun. Close to 4,000 local members.

Also there are lots of shops here and lots of privateers who do work on the side. Some of the shops here dont have good reputations...thats all I'll say on that subject, so be careful! I'd go with a private person who does side work if it were me.

I'm banned from LS.... also check out 502streetscene.net

Upgrade Performance- Bill Roberts.
PM for his number.
He does custom fab, turbo kits, engine swaps, all the good stuff.

Other Shops, Kaos Tuning, Tachyon Performance, Clemons Dyno, lots of others

.. not allowing ppl to talk about shops is lame, I mean .. the whole freakin' point of having a discussion board is to share your experience, isn't it ?

Thanks for all the inputs :)

sorry imissed your call monday. i was slammed at work... pretty busy today too. i will try to email you tomorrow with a list and phone numbers and contacts in the ville

Jeff, might wanna check again. I just checked the banned members list and your name isn't on it, so you aren't banned at LouisvilleStreets.com and probably haven't been for a bit due to a deal I brokered. Only two people currently in our banned list...

I have been a administrator there for quite some time and while I agree that it sucks not being able to have shop talk, there are specific reasons why. We had shops posing as people giving glowing reports of their own work, people trashing shops that they had never even been to based on hearsay, and two different slander suits brought against the owner of LS as a result of members trashing reputations. While the cases were eventually thrown out, the owner still had legal fees incurred from it. Thats the reason why.

Give LouisvilleStreets a chance. I think you will like it. There are good people at both forums, but threads do a lot better job of staying on topic at LS and there is a lot less flaming going on. Also, if you are planning on getting into autocross, we are hosting the official forum of the KY region SCCA . Come check it out for yourself. You don't have to rely on others opinions on it.

Later,
James

Just get your springs and struts and I can help you put them on. Then all you would need to do is go get an alignment. Much cheaper than paying someelse to do it.

Body kit I would wait on til spring. You don't want to paint something going into winter if you can wait, and unless you already love going to Preston, I doubt you wanna ride around with the body kit unpainted.

ahh the wondeful preston ,i rolled down there with some friends couple summers ago. i never laughed so hard in my life.

yeah we are having a cincy meet sometime, check it out in the car meets area, would be cool to have you guys come up here too
