Just wondering if anyone knows what's going on w/ my car!

Well 1 week ago my car began to make a scrapeing sound.

It happens when i go up and down my driveway...also when i am driving on hilly bumps...it's coming from the back of my car...I already have an appointment w/ mazda service but i was just wondering if anyone knows what's going on...

*Note*

I have not dropped my car...and still have stock rims on my car...

Thanks

Chas

let's hope we dont have the bushing problem of the MP3's......

Sorry, but this cracked me up. when I saw the title of the thread, the first thought that came into my head was "Oh my god, maybe that loud noise is the EXHAUST!!!"
I couldnt help it.:)

But more specifically, what exactly is the noise? is it rubber on plastic, rubber on metal, metal on metal? Does it occur at certain speeds? What about your driveway do you think makes the noise?

are you from canada?
i think it's the licence plate
cause i used to have the same problem
and i brought the car to mazda dealer..they checked and said no problem..but the sound is still here
so i try to take off the licence plate with the black border plastic thingy?
i removed it..and just put the licence plate back on..now on problem
hope this help
:D

I had something similar to this too. It turned out to be the center rear seat belt. I had unlocked it to fold the seats down for more cargo space. When I replaced the seats back to the original position, I forgot about the seatbelt and left it dangling in the cargo area. This is probably not the problem, but hey, whatever might help.

Fresh out from the dealer, the jack was loose so it was making a lot of noise. Check that (you never know) ;)
