lots of bucking

Hey i got off work today and was in 3rd gear getting on the highway and floored it and around 4200rpm my car bucked once then buck/hard jerk about 3times in a row before i let off the gas does anyone have any clue what thats about? im thinking Maf or wg there was no noise just a very hard jerk.... i live in florida so im not thinking its a weather issue either.. also boost was normal too...

the diaphragm in your wastegate actuator is leaking.
it needs to be replaced.

you can test it by pulling the vacuum line off of the T fitting that leads to the WGA and blowing into it. if you hear a leak or can blow at all into it, its bad!

you have been given bad advice. I hope you don't see blindly throwing money at your car in hopes of fixing it or selling it as being reasonable. Why can't troubleshooting a problem be see as fun by most people?

Hm... for some reason my motor loses all power it seams like (like bucking) around 4000 RPM's also. Ive been trying to figure it out. but you guys said something about the WGA, what does it do? and how easy is it to fix? (if thats whats wrong with mine)

It only happens sometimes, it gets me pissed sometimes cause im never ready for it.


also, where would it be located at? (im new with turbo, only worked on 2 turbo cars at work)

1st and foremost, the WGA thread has the symptoms and solutions (stock, aftermarket, adjustments, and pics). The WGA is a control rod that goes to the turbo. It has a yellow 1.5 inch diameter cylinder on top that houses the diaphragm. You can see it near the top of the turbo toward the engine. I wouldn't attempt it myself. Are you above 40K miles. It seems to be the magic number.

If you want to diagnose a prob. w/ the wga get a vac pump and see if it holds.

yea i went ahead and pulled the line off the T and blew in it and it was like i was whistling the air went str8 through so im gonna just order another1 and see if that fixes the problem

Wheres the WGA thread at? i gotta check it out cause i dont want to break anything haha, hopefuly its the prob, and the stupid turkey sound haha, but i need a blow off valve to fix that. (getting the HiBoost Intercooler so it comes with one)
