I bought a 2007 CX9 recently. I note that both front woofers are defective. I have read several thread and blog and did not encounter a good suggestion on which speakers are recommended to replace them. Any suggestion, please?????

Thanks

Does your cx-9 have the bose or non bose?

In our 08 bose w/navi the front door speakers were inverted (shallow) 8's. I didn't take an ohm reading to see if they were 2 or 4 ohm normally they are 2 ohm so direct replacement with 4ohm aftermarket speakers makes them sound quieter, and may not even work. Best bet is to take the door apart, pop out the speaker and do some measurements.

I have bose speakers. I dont know the ohms, but 2 or 4 what replacement speakers are sugested?
Thanks

I have bose and they are OK. It's sad that this is the upgraded sound package and still not great. I wonder if the Bose is any improvement over the normal stock?

the bose are normally 2ohm so they can get more power out of them with weaker amp power. if your not happy enough with them the only real way to go is ripping the bose and amp out, and replacing them with some aftermarket amps/speakers. you can still keep the headunit if you want, but i would recommend something that will smooth out the signal and provide you with easy rca's. either a simple line out converter or a nicer DSP unit (JL cleansweap, RF 360, JBL-MS-8, Audio Control, Audison Bit.1)

Thanks Kelrog, as the speaker are blow out I wish to change it. So thanks you very much for your suggestions.

Ok, i saw this one yesterday in ebay, but is only one. Look how bad are my speaker, with the bass in -4 and the volume in 20 still sounding crack.
