Looking for some advice

My current mods are -Cobb SRI
-Turbo XS Hybrid BPV
-TRZ dogbone rear MM

Im trying to get to 300whp+

This is what I was thinking, let me know if there is something I should do instead. First I am going to get the Hypertech Tuner, then PG turbo inlet, next the HKS exhaust with a corksport catted testpipe, would this equal at or near 300whp??

I was also thinking of getting an ETS 3.25 TMIC to push me to 300whp if I was not after all the previously stated future mods.

Let me know if you would buy things in a different order or substitute different parts.

Thanks,

Brett Hennington

I'm not sure the particular tuning device you are considering was designed or configured to work with all the various mods you are considering. Might work, but its maps (flashes) are standardized for certain specific relatively minor mods, are they not?

I would also think (just a somewhat educated guess) that if you are going to have a downpipe (even catted) and a FMIC both, you are likely to run into some fuel cut issues that could only be adjusted with a tuner option that could be custom programmed or mapped, such as AP or Standback. Maybe I'm wrong, since I'm not tuned and do have significant fuel cut in cold weather.

Might want to address fuel pump with an upgrade, if going that route.

Well i'm not looking into getting a downpipe because with the hypertech tune it might run VERY lean, i was looking into getting a catted testpipe though. I emailed Hypertech and asked about running the tune with a turbo inlet and he said, " It was fine and would work properly." the hypertech can also be used with an upgraded catback and intake. hmmmmm

Dyno's are all different but for the most part 300whp requires a fully bolted car + tune.

In terms of power mods that means: Downpipe / midpipe ( if applicable) / full intake / intercooler / and a solid tune.

Im at 300whp with my mods right now. I don't have a DP so my dyno probably reads a bit higher than most.

Catback exhaust doesn't really add power. Might give you 1-2whp when your moving pretty fast at high rpm. The stock catback isn't that restrictive.

I concur. And from what I've seen, the HT flash isn't going to get you there. To get the numbers you want, you should have spent the extra $95.00 for an AP.

You will need an AP,DP,Upgraded fuel pump, Upgraded IC and a tune or if you are lucky your car will work well with a Cobb off the shelf map.
