Looking for ECU and Alarm BOX ON MS3

:
Mazdaspeed3
Im trying to find the ecu and alarm box for my m3s and seriously searched everywhere. at first i thought it was where all the fuses and dash modules were behind the glove box but when i thought i found the module for the alarm box i.......cough cough......cut the blue wire and slowly but surely my dash started to lose functions. lesson here....dont cut the blue wire behind the glove box....lol. oye. at least it ended up being a funny story and not a tragedy.
anyway. i found out through a friend that its located behind the steering column to the left slightly. I dismantled the drivers dash and couldnt find a damn thing. maybe im looking to hard and am missing it. the whole reason im doing this is so i can alarm my car while my turbo timer is running. (hence me cutting the blue wire.).....(the wrong blue wire.) any enlightenment on this subject?

your ecu is located on the left of the battery box dunno about alarm box i would guess above the driver kick panel. thats where they are in the msp

alright cool, ill go check for the alarm box again. i figured it was under the drivers dash too. ill try to look again and drop another post for an update.

So let me get this straight... if you cut the blue wire off the alarm module, it will allow you to arm the car while the the turbo timer is running? Is this true for msp as well?

the alarm is part of the PJB "fuse box", there isn't any way to really disable it

hopefully someone comes up with a makeshift way to arm the car with the turbo timer running. seems i may be s*** out of luck until.

the alarm is separate from the keyless entry module, but it still talks directly to the PJB so bypassing the lockout is difficult

recently a buddy of mine with a speed6 ran a 3'' turbo back with a mini high flo and 2 hks carbon ti's, cold air, motor mount, gauges, 3.5'' tmic, and plenty of other extras. he brought it to the dealership for a clutch recall and instead of voiding his warranty they wanted to take it for a ride! lol. i might as well finish modding the s*** out of my car and take it down there. while they gawk at my car ill slip in....can you make my alarm work with my turbo timer? best wishes to myself for that one. haha.

actually for the msp just use the driver door lock button and close the door it should automatically arm itself. i have a tt on my msp and i just use the lock button so all the doors lock and shut the door. when the tt shuts the car off it arms itself. i know for a fact cuz i made my perimeter a little more sensitive than stock and if someone leans on the car its starts beepin.

no
you'll have to get an aftermarket alarm

as far as aftermarket also i dunno last time i checked it was a couple years back tho my friend who was the car alarm specialist and installer told me that you could only do a passive which is when the tt shuts the car down it will automatically lock the car in 30 seconds. but the side effect to that he said was that anytime the car goes off and all doors are shut it will automatically arm it. so if you close all your doors and all windows are rolled up with your keys in the car it will lock them in there. but like i said it was a few years back and thats if you have it set to passive.

yes our dealership is awesome...i walked in nervous..came out feeling like i won the lottery. the owner of the dealership loved the work i did.which doesnt happen to often. as far as the ecu location we better find it soon dude... i forgot about the control box for the alarm and yeah i will arm itself hes right.. on my speed6 though theres a box behind the back seat if u cut the blue wire ur able to arm the car and hear it beep when its running...dont know why they didnt do the same setup in the speed3.

i need to put rush delivery on those gauge pods and mini cat so i can get this s*** together before my oil change at the end of august. stupid bills...takin up all my money and junk.

why does everyone saying that the ms3 doesn't need a tt? does the car keep the oil cycling till it reaches a cool state so the oil doesn't cake up in the lines? cuz i know thats what the tt is for. so oil doesn't cake up and ruin your turbo by getting all that sludge and solid form of oil. as far as i know the turbo is water and oil cooled liked the msp and that still needs a tt. please enlighten me on this subject cuz i haven't gotten an explanation. im not flaming or anything its just lack of knowledge for me on this specific subject for the ms3

from what i know its not a space aged turbo so it runs and is cooled the same way as other turbos. i know the ms6 has an oil pump that keeps moving the oil for a minute or so after automatically, but when i shut off my ms3 there is no noise coming from the engine compartment or anywhere else. nothing runs after turn off. and whats the big deal buying a tt anyway you ask? i bought the apexi tt and it doesnt just run my car after shut down to prevent turbo wear. it gives me voltage, o2 and a/f ration readouts as well. so i just wanted to know how i can arm my alarm while the tt is running so i can walk away and know my car is armed.
