looking for advise on buying belt, tension bearing and water pump

looking to get new belt tension bearing and water pump

knowing ebay has a full kit for very cheap price something like $90-175 kit + roughly $100 shipping to Canada


when i look at the tension bearing by itself, it cost like 70-100 everywhere i search

y is the kit so cheap while individual price cost so much?



one of the ebay seller has sold like 300+ kits for our engine, so they should be fairly ok unit to purchase?

i was thinking about buying the cheapest kit for $90+shipping and use the water pump and 2 bearings + GATES K040360RB Serpentine Belt/Fan Belt

anyone suggest me getting OE water pump?

IMO just spend the extra and go OEM.

I am assuming you are talking about the timing belt. The aftermarket water pump and timing belt kits will work fine, the Gates kit includes the belt, both the idler and tensioner pulleys and even a new tensioner spring. Aside from the water pump and new water pump gasket you may need new timing covers if yours are damaged as well as a new valve cover gasket, and an impact is required for the crank pulley. New drive belts are also a good idea if needed and the pass. motor mount must be removed so it's a good time to replace it if necessary. If you have never installed a timing belt or chain I would recommend having someone that has help you, it makes it much easier to get it in time the first try.
