Looking for a straight answer: will 15x8 6UL with 225/45/15 tires fit?

The closest thing to an answer I can find is this post. Unfortunately, it's not clear whether or not Andy Hollis was talking about the 15x8 or the 15x9. Also, I'm not understanding why it would rub only if you're lowered; wouldn't it rub under nearly-full compression, then?

Anyway, I'd really appreciate a straight answer as to whether or not these will fit without rubbing on a stock suspension.

Big thanks in advance... :)

You might need to roll fenders. I posted some pictures somewhere. Also the Goodwin racing has a picture of the track 2 with 15x8

Thanks for the reply! Does the '2 fare well with fender rolling, as far as paint cracking and chipping goes? The only reason why I never rolled on any other car is because I'm scared of ruining the paint.

So long as you throw heat at it, it should be okay. I don't see a reason it'd be any different than other cars I've rolled.

I rolled mine, it was simple just take your time and use heat... No issues :)

Im about to order some 15x8.25, I have read and think you could even push 15x9 with no rub. use this calculator to see offset differences and tire size differences, just try to keep everything looking near the same.. http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.ph...ect2=50&diameter2=16&wheelwidth2=8&offset2=25

I don't think it would fit well with wheels that wide, as it would come in contact with the fenders as you do a steering lock. I would strongly recommend 205/45

whats the offset? I had 15x7.5 with a 42 offset 225/45 R15 rivals and I rubbed at full lock in the front. I also rubbed in the rear upon compression.
