Looking at a new car... What would you recommend and why? Here are some that have crossed my mind. Also, this will be stock for awhile, but not too long ;), so go on that assumption, not that I am going to go crazy with it or what the possibilities are... I really am considering doing this, just wanted to know what you guys thought. Also assume all the cars are fully loaded, etc...

hmm thats a huge price range. 350z-sti-s2k? whao lol i have no idea... all good cars, id go with the evo or sti, nice 4 door, practical, fast or more the sti because if u are going to mod it, at least u know theres a huge market of parts. those two or a 350z if u want a two door. i rarely see any sti's and evo's on the island - chris

imo, the msp is the best in the bunch without paying 30k. you didnt say how much you want to spend or what you want your monthly payments to be or what you plan on doing with the car ( ie. auto-x, drag, show etc...) plan out what you want to do then im sure youll get a better idea of what car to buy.

i dunno what you're looking for in terms of luxury and status, but i think is300 would provide the best mix. you get a fairly quick stock car, nice interior, enough practicality, and the lexus name. it's sporty but you could also take it to a nice formal dinner. there're enough aftermarket products out there too i would think.

I say the SRT-4!

If you are going to go between the Misubishi and the STi, get the STi... just believe me. LOL

lexus, why? cause its the best looking one on the list and you can always turbo it in the future

Z350

Simply because all(most) of them other once are suped up econoboxes.

Lexus or Z350 are the only 'above' econobox models :-)

Just get the new Maxima and be happy with it :-)

OK here is a little more info on what I am looking for:

Don't really care about 2 or 4 door.
Price range goes up to $32000 or so. (Max payment of $700 or so.)
Want something that definitely looks sweet (even in stock form), but I WILL be modding it also.
I like both the show and go aspect, I will be driving it alot, and maybe a couple of shows per year (if i do something big in the audio portion).

And as far as why there are not other cars in there, I can only post 10 in a poll. :) I am completely open to everything you guys got. As long as it is new. I plan on going out and doing alot of test driving once the field is narrowed... I am going to be 100% sure about the car I get this time...

Acura TL maybe. Are you going to be driving it in the winter? If so that would cut the list way down. Also I wouldn't even consider something like the spec-v or srt-4 or even the MSP if I had money to spend 32,000. Price was a huge factor in my decision.

Lexus IS300. Looks good, have good aftermarket parts, and since you're going to drive it alot, it has the comfort needed.

get the srt-4, and with the extra money, mod the hell out of it. car has a lot of potential, A LOT. i know their kinda ugly stock... but i saw one today lowered.... that thing lowered looks about 100x better, and it looks so much meaner. it made me want to rid of my p5 and get one. get the srt-4!

Um, 32k...go Infinity G35. Can't beat that for best of every world. Well, ok, it may not be the best of every world, but damn is it (pimp)!

i forgot about the TL. the new ones are damn nice. the only drawback is fwd. but otherwise it's a good choice. g35 is also good.
with srt4, evo, spec-v, and the like, you're sacrificing a lot of interior luxury. unless you plan on redoing the whole interior or it doesn't really matter to you, you should get something with a little more "creature comfort" amenities.

G35 would be a nice catch.

But my vote on your list would be an IS 300. Doesn't this have the same engine as the Toyota Supra? If so finding performance parts should be realatively easy and you'd get really good performance and looks.
