Like the man said, lets not turn this into an ION bashing thread. I bought mine in the very first group buy and I love it. And it's still the only FMIC that allows you to replace the MSP radiator with a larger P5 replacement radiator.

As far as tips for installation, the instructions are pretty good and it's straight forward. Just make sure you allow yourself plenty of time and be careful doing the cutting. A holesaw and sawzall will come in very useful.
I thought Perrin's allowed that also?

Nope, the Perrin does not allow you to change the radiator. I believe it was discussed in the original planning phases on the boards, but if I recall correctly they changed the plans and the piping is run in such a way that you cannot change the radiator.

Come on now, twhat is the point of that post. The thread creator said he didn't want to turn this into a bash ION thread or a whose IC is better thread.

I can just as easily say the same thing ION > Perrin ... What's the F'ing point. Let the man show off his IC.

They are both outstanding products. No need to take a quote from the top of the thread and turn this into a battle over whose is better. It's a thread about an ION IC, if someone wants to say something good about it, let him. He didn't bring up any other vendors products.

Well I'm sure it's only a matter of time until he tells all of the problems we had with the kit today. If he wants to indulge you all on the terrors of this kit, I'll let him.

But all I can say is I'm not EVAR buying the ION FMIC. NEVAR!!!

lol i didnt read the second page before posting that. and the iON fmic is really good but IMO perrin is better and it WILL allow u to get the p5 rad. the piping route is almost the same as iONs. well im 99.9999% sure u can change the rad.

Well, if that happens it happens.

I own the kit and I can honestly say I have no complaints. Top notch quality and design. At the time I had never done any work like that before on my car and I was able to install the kit with no problems.

Looks like you are correct. I could have sworn I was told it wouldn't allow replacement of the rediator.

It's a super nice piece.

it would have been pointless to have a huge core (aim for big numbers) and not be able to upgrade the rad
