are you sure you didn't run over sasquatch? thats a big bubble(tire) and dent in the muffler.

That DOES suck, but why is it the DOT"s fault? Do you just assume that every part of every road's always gonna be smoth and clear? a rock big enough to do that damage MUST have been noticeable, yeS?

I guess not but it was unavoidable. It was either hit the Lexus beside me, or hit the side of the bridge where ther weree peices of pavement eve bigger than the one I hit. I need to clarify: it was not a rock, it was a piece of pavement.

BTW: The insurance won't help, because it was on the ground and not in the air first!!!!

that sucks, man. yea my grandpaents had a chunk of an overpass falloff and hit their car, bouced off the hood, shattered the windshield, and over the roof, etc. Insurance wouldn't cover, the city of seattle didn't want any part of it, Dot said screw yourself. It was just impressive

I ran over a landscape brick running up I-71 one afternoon. It sure scares the heck out of you. Cars hopped like it was guna flip over. Damage tally: one 18" TSW VX-1wheel and two tires ruined. Needed re-alignment too. Insurance covered it no problem. American Family.

I feel your pain. The weekend after I got my P5 (about a month ago) I took it up to Palomar Mountain (San Diego's twistiest mtn road) with a couple of friends to give it a workout. All went well until I moved to the side to let a motorcyclist past and hit a big old rock which put a hole in the sidewall of one of my almost new FM901s.

I was pissed, but thanks to mountjonas on this board I was able to get a free replacement.

hrm, did you bother checking with insurance? your rates would go up, you'd have to pay the deductible, just for those small damages? i mean its not THAT bad...

Yea the damage fall under my deductable. Sucks really bad. I am going to put ona new muffler. I might keep the MP3, but they are only painted and I drive around afraid I'll chip them all the time. No good powder coating places around here. I'm seriously thinking of 205/50/16 tires on the stock polished rims.
