LOC and alternator whine/noise

So I've finally got some time to install my sub and amps in my P5. I had a 4-chan Audiobahn amp for the time being, but the guys who did the install didn't really do the best job in the world, so I had to deal with some alternator whine and a some serious noise when I would adjust the side-mirrors (weird huh?!). The noise is almost completely coming from teh rear right speaker.

Anyway, I've replaced the 4-chan Audiobahn with a Tsunami DB4440 so I'm stoked about that, but the noise problems are still there. So I played with the ground at first (I moved it to the front left bolt on the driver's seat, and sanded off the paint to make it a proper ground). But still nothing.

So taking the stock HU out, I notice that the LOCs being used are real crap (a pair of crappy 2-chans). I'll play with the ground wiring on the HU itself and see if that's the culprit, but is it possible that the crappy LOCs are responsible for the noise and alternator whine?

If so, someone suggest me a good LOC! I'm thinking David Navone's N-774V for $35...a single high-qual 4-chan LOC will hopefully do the trick (fingers crossed), cuz this noise is really bugging me!!

Thanks for the help guys

David Navone's N-774V !!

I just finished most of my amps/sub/speakers install, and am using David Navone's N-774V. I ran the power wire on the passenger side(PITA), and the RCAs on the driver side. I have absolutely no noise!! (2thumbs) I am very happy with the David Navone piece. Very well made and no noise. Highly reccomended!!

On another note, I worked with the grommet so much on the passenger side, it is loose. I have it partially in for now, but I need to dedicate more time to fix it. Any Suggestions?

cheap loc's are allot of times the culprit of noise. it could also possibly be the headunit. one thing i'd suggest is switching the speaker wires from right to left to see if the alternator whine switches speakers (u said it was much louder from the right speaker) if u switch wires and the noise still comes from the right speaker, u know that the speaker is the problem. if it switches sides that would rule out any problem with the speaker itself.
