List Of Those Meeting At Alderwood Mall For Mazda Madness Cruise-up AUGUST 22

To those who are meeting at the Alderwood Mall in order to start the main portion of the cruise up to Mazda Madness in Richmond B.C. (well, to Burlington to meet another group, then to Bellingham for breakfast, THEN to Richmond)....

MEETING DETAILS:
* For all the southend people, meet at Barnes and Noble (or the Starbucks across from Best Buy) in Lynnwood at around 6:00am, so it gives us time to wait just in case people are late.
* Leave at about 6:30am to head to the Burlington area; should take us about 45 min or so. Meet Rob (and hopefully some of the RainState guys and others)at about 7:15am, probably at the McDonalds that's just off of I-5.
* Leave at about 7:30am to head up to Bellingham for some IHOP; should take us about 20-30 min, so we should get there at around 8:00am.
* Eat at IHOP; should take at least an hour and a half, depending on how many people are cruising up and how many are eating.
* Leave IHOP at about 9:30am, then get to the border by 10:00am. Takes about 20 min to get there from Bellingham, then takes another 20-30min to arrive around the Richmond area.

Please leave your name and cell phone number so that we can all make sure that all are accounted for. You don't wanna get left behind, do you? (just make a post in this thread, I'll update this posting so that the full list will be right at the top of the thread)

ADDRESS AND DIRECTIONS ONCE PAST THE US/CANADIAN BORDER
7111 No. 8 Road
Richmond, BC V6W 1L9

Stay on 99. You will go through a tunnel. Past the Steveston Exit. The next exit should be Westminster Hwy. Take the exit and go east (the only way you can go with that exit). Follow that road for a long ways, past No. 6 Rd., all the way to No. 8 Rd. (by this point it will look like farm land out there). TURN RIGHT onto No. 8 Rd. You won't be able to miss it.

Mike,

Let's just hope for the best in the respects that your ride will be done by then... Totally looking forward to seein' it in tip top shape...

HEY PAUL!! You gotta bring the yellow MP5 too man... we need more yellow.. lol.

Chris

Thanks Chris! :) I hope my MSP is gonna be ready....but even if I just have my bone stock MSP back for the Madness, I'd be happy. Everything else would be a bonus. :D

Okay, so I'm not really sure if you guys have seen it, but my audio Might just be lacking a bit. If you aren't aware, I've currently started an all-out battle against elemental designs. (yes I did once love them) However I got a new pair of components form them that blew on the 2nd day I had them. FUnny thing is I'd actually metered my amp'soutput, etc and tuned it to be within their roccomendations, and yest the still denied my warranty, and then went beyond that to insult me, etc.
At anyrate, longish story, (and WAY hug eif you dig around more) If you wanna see here's the thread on this forum (there's countless others allover the net now) http://www.msprotege.com/vbb225/showthread.php?t=75971&page=1&pp=15

In the end, I'll still be there, and with my car, but I've had SOO many projects that were sorta waiting on getting my frontstage workedout and now that's all kind of up in the air, and likely not happening soon, my car's still half-done and whatnot, and my audio is seriously lacking (well in my perception atleast) D's car's been comng along nicely, she actually did a couple of wiring mods, installed her gague rings, and a few other thigns herself the othernight. All very nicely... I'm sure we cna talk her into tandeming it. I'll just run the radios allthe way over.

Oh, for whoever's got a radio. My usual favorite defualt channel 12, code 34.. 1234... easy to remember, eH? I'm thinking though that for those who maynot have coded radios to just leave it on open channel 12 perhaps? we can figure it out from there. and, y'kno celphones are a good thing...;)

ok where and how much for a decent radio?

i mean we have radios here at work, the ones you clip on your belt and they have channels 1-15 but I think these rely on the base station to operate. so if we are tlakin cb style radios where and how much for one? nothing great just so it works.this is what we have at work:

only the cp200

It alldepends on specifics, and if it's something you think you'll use personally or not. I find them to be sweet for snowboarding as you can seperate from a group and still manage to catchup with them for lunch or whatever. we use them when mtnbiking as well, and, well just everywhre. range is impressive..

Here's a basic set, another good thing to look for woud be rechargeable ones, but beign able to replace batteries is a good thing too. If you want nice stuff midland's one of the better companies doing them... But these are $35 shipped for a pair that'll be more than nice. Battery life is about 2-4 full days in my experience.

oh yeah, did anybody read my basic plan for the Alderwood meeting area? and the time schedule? feedback would be appreciated. I think the times should work out perfectly. anyways. yeah.

that's cool. I gueess we can all syncronise whenwe get there...

9-28 check.

Hey guys, I jsut picked up a pair of nice gmrs cobras with rechargeable nicads from fred meyers for $40 with a $10 rebate They usually sell forlike $70, pretty sweet deal. At any rate I may have a couple spares if anyone's lacking.

Hey Paul,

If I could use one of those for the trip that would rock.. then I don't have to worry about buying a set myself. I wouldn't really use them beside for something like this anyway. Let me know if you're cool with that...

OH MAN... 1 1/2 DAYS LEFT IN EUROPE.... YAHOO!!!!!! I'm almost home!!!!

Chris
HEY MIKE!!! That time and schedule works fine for me. I'm pumped to roll up with everyone.. see ya there.
