we gotta have the ghey front plate too,
if its not bolted to tha front of the car VA troopers are gonna get ya...

mines still under 30 days old so im still rollin with tha TN temp tag taped to the back winda..
no ghey inspection sticker in TN either.:)

if only the dealership hadnt put those holes in my mp5's bumper, id zip tie mine to the lower grill as well...centered of course

i think the factory mount is the best cause if you do center it in front of the lower grill it would block the air going to the intercooler....if you had one :D

Also from NY, front plate sucks, grumble grumble.

So lets say it is zip-tied to the lower air dam. What do I now do with the big holes in my bumper?

So zmepro, how did you mount your plate like that. Do tell...

did u find some through your dealership? or did u make some?

i'm trying to find some, but no luck in my city, and i need that front plate on but would love to zip tie it to my grill and fill those damn holes

Get some GM trim "plugs"/clips from the morons at Autozone or something and use some touch up paint to match the "cap" to your car...

There's a How To someplace about the right ones to use.

I've never run my front plate on the Lotus, but I did get a ticket for my Integra years ago.

The new law here in TX says that you can not run plate frames that obscure the plate in any way. I think you can still run the dealer's frame, but who wants to do that? Photo tickets here we come!

We never have to put a front plate in here Calgary, good. because front plate look so ugly.

Ohio it is currently law... But I hear they are planning on changing that due to the fact that it "costs them so much money to manufacture a 2nd plate" (they'll still charge the same amount per year though)

I got a front tag re-locater from t and a that eliminates zip ties and all that bulls*** for sale.PM with an offer. Had one and it fell through.

here is how i have mine, i have had it that way for a year, since i got my car, and no problems yet, im in NY btw

when i ordered the car i specifically said "dont put the liscense plate on the front" and they didnt, so i dont have holes

Wow I'm surprised you don't get pulled over. In Iowa you have to have a front plate. Also, in Iowa and probably anywhere else if you bend the plate like that they could fine you for damaging state property.

I like mine in the standard spot but we get small front plates :D

It a good mod if you got a front mount i/c. that's how the plates are done in japan.

Yes, in all US states it is crime to bend, fold, cut or alter an active plate. I was very sad to find that in great state of Texas, it's a $200 fine if an officer issues you a ticket for not having a front plate. I was hoping to get by without one, but that's kind of pricey risk. :(

Has anyone purchased one of those aluminum brackets by T&A Performance Specialties?

We have that law in VA, however when you look closely at the law it only says visable from the front. Thus having it in the window is visable. Doesn't actual say attach to the front bumper.
Had mine in the window for some time and no problems.
