I took this photo near Pebble Beach today, and i really like it. How big can you get a print at 1600x1200 without grainyness (like if i took it to be printed at walmart)?

at that resolution...

5x7 will look perfect
8x10 is doable but if you get up close you'll see the pixels

but you know, I've really gotta question your photography skills... you've completely missed your protege5 (wink)

If this was taken with Film, you could have the film drummed-scan at a graphics shop to be whatever size you want. Cost you from $35-100.

If this is with a digital camera i bet 5x7 will be a big as you can get clean. 8x10 may be doable, but will probably retain some grain.

^^ agreed. If you use a program like PS and while making the picture larger in actual size (cm) but at the same time increase the dpi of the entire image dramatically... you may get a nice looking 8x10
