hey everyone.

i was just wondering if anyone has done this.. or if it is even possible. i was in an accident a couple weeks ago and my front was damaged because some ass pulled out right infront of me trying to get in to the on-coming traffic lane [good thing everything was only cosmetic damage... 3000 dollars worth]. im getting a new hood.. bumper.. and everything Before they drill holes in the bumper for my license plate [front plate required in washington state] i wanted to know if it is possible to fit the plate in down below with the lower grill [attached by.. wires.. or something].

since my car is in the shop right now, i have no way to measure if it would even fit, plus my plate was all banged up along with the grill/bumper. does anyone know if it will fit, and how i could attach it?

thanks!

uclap5 does this with his car. it looks cool. you can even offcenter it and look like a real race car.

you are crazy to not get a cf hood and other stuff to replace the damaged parts ...like I did .. it was cheaper and you get the change back

Yeah, and look at what you are blocking. Not the best of ideas.

Don't put a plate on... When you get pulled over for it, put one on then.

Yea, don't trust those zip-ties. I had my plate one the front with those, and they broke. Before I fixed it, I got pulled over for no front license plate. The nice officer also gave me a DUI. Don't drink and drive.

uclap5, can you please tell me how you went about cutting off 1/2 an inch of the plate? i dont really have easy access to stuff like that.. but i can try my best to get it done...

I made a bracket that mounted the tag at the bottom of the bumper. Cost about 4 bucks and 10 minutes to make/install. I can send a pic.

is it the same "license plate conversion" as the one on ebay? i saw that.. i didnt think it looked that good. i would rather have it stock, than convert it like that. BUT, i would.... like to see how you did yours

yeah some tin snips will work, or a jigsaw with a metal cutting blade.

i just used a vice and bent it backwards. (in case i ever get s*** about mutilating it or something like that.

check out the T&A mount...the website in the first response. best solution I've seen so far.

here's mine, no close up of the mount though.

hawaiiannights.. it looks like you didnt cut/bend your plate at all. did you just shove it in there and then zipped it up. heh. i was thinking about just shoving it in there [unless theres the slightest chance of paint scratching] and not bothering to cut/bend it at all.

I wouldn't exactly call it shoving it in but since its kind of at an angle it fits in there without bending the plate. But yea the bottom of the plate is pushed against the paint kinda hard and may scratch it even though I don't see any scratching yet.......I wonder if the Hawaii plates are like a slight bit shorter than other states??
