Anyone know if Mazda or any company makes some nice license plate hole plugs that can be painted to match? My vehicle was dealer traded from OH (dual license plate state) to MI which only requires a rear plate. I want to remove the black front license plate housing and fill in the two remaining holes, which are in the painted part. I want it to look professional though.

As far as I know I've looked on Ebay and stuff with no luck, I don't think they make them. If you happen to find them def let me know.

Home Depot would have a few answers to your questions...Hole plugs are not uncommon in plastic and easy to prime and paint..

Check this thread for some examples... http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123638931&highlight=license+hole+plug

and try searching the forums, cause this has been worked through before..There is even a company out there that will pre-paint plugs to match OEM colors...The website evades me at currently..

Damn, those plugs are expensive. $25 for two painted pieces of plastic? (omg)

My dealer said they have some kind of plug thing that they can heat up. Not sure about that. I don't want my bumper getting melted. Plus I want them painted to match. Maybe I'll just fork over $25 bone for 1/2 cents worth of plastic and paint. (pissed)

Yeah. It costs $100 for color matched plugs. They give you three sets, so that apparently justifies that kind of dough.
