Let's hear from some Alpine satisfied owners (headunits, the new ones). some things u really like and the opposite.

just bought the 9813.. would have loved the 9815.. but...... $$ so got the cheaper (ha yeah right) one...

so far i love it.. my friend has the same one in his protege.. and for stock speakers.. that HU makes it boom. i thought he had a sub (not playing loudly - but something) the diff btw that and stock.. (not a comparison i should make) but it's unreal.

plus.. having 108 songs on disc is great.

i have to hook the continuous power though (v.drive) but i don't know how.. well project weekend coming up :)

9807..

Looks like it belongs in the car..

Doesn't sound bad with Stock Speakers..

100+ songs, always a plus..

Got to love a volume knob..

I put a 9801 in my dad's porsche. it is driving the shittiest speakers known to man, but it sure does look nice.

not to thread jack.. but i think i need to hook up the 9813 HU to the battery using 10 guage and an inline fuse.. i'm not experienced nor a noob.. well.... closer to noob, but i'm looking for advice on how to hook this up. ie stuff i'll need. how long of an install. plz :) ??

I also have a 9815

Does the 9815 fit in a P5 without any problems. I was looking at Crutchfield's website and they say it doesn't fit that car. It is the same size as other Alpine HU's that do fit though. Do they just not know what they are talking about ??

I guess alpines look nicer than eclipses.. but eclipse = better SQ, so it's all preference

It dioesn't have to be as big as 10 guage but it has to be atleast whar the wire is on the decks harness(14, I think)

It does have to get wired to the battery or the main power line at the column mentioned in my remote starter wire sticky thread.

Alpines fit fine, I have one in mine, and I have called crutchfield several times about their mistake and they simply don't like to listen.
