They outnumber car related threads now, and only the same 5 people are involved with those same threads and it's the same bickering over and over again. I'm really not sure what the actual point of this thread is or what sort of responses you are expecting. I dont hate America, just the way it's run. Thats why I moved back to Portugal(not that the gov't is really any better, well just a little). But I plan on buying a vacation home in the States to visit every so often. After all, I did spend 20 years there. I for one am always pulling for a good administration to pull America out of it's slump. Way I see it is that every great empire has to fall. America's time has come but hopefully the fall isn't to big and she can get right back up again.

Why is canada and sweden the place to be now? Well for me canada is much more relaxed and friendly. I have been to canada countless times and have had an excelent expirience every visit. The canadians are more welcoming than most of amaerica. the border gaurds greet you with a smile where as american border gaurds (even before 9-11) are total assholes ,they have the power and they love to let you know it.

The cops in canada are great I got pulled over one time because one of the screws on my license tag had come loose and was dangling from my sideways tag. Not only did he let me go without a ticket but he acually let me borrow a screwdriver to screw it back in. I have never met an american cop who would go that far out of his way to help a motorist especially a foreiner.


As for sweden I've never been there but I did go out with a really hot swedish exchange student in highschool.And I must say, she was a pleasurable expirience.(naughty)

(Just as a FYI - America would not even be CLOSE to a superpower if the South had won the Civil War. Among other things, we probably would have never gotten into WWII, which vaulted the U.S. to the top, where we remain today.)
