let's get everyone together! I say we meet in one month, 12/14/02 (saturday), someplace between LA and San Diego. i'm open to reccomendations for free parks, beach sites, someplace scenic with lots of parking. in order to keep costs out of any one single person's pocket, i suggest a POTLUCK style meet, where everyone brings something for everyone to eat. it can serve 3, 5, or 30.. your choice. if you don't bring food, you don't eat, so nobody's OBLIGATED to bring anything except you and your pro.

i know a few of you like to AutoX, but i'd rather this be a meet at a place where nothing's happening but conversation, food's cookin, and a whole lot of proteges to ogle over. there seems to be a small group already moving towards meeting at an AutoX event on sunday that same week, so if you like to race and compete, head out there for more pros.. my car's in no condition to race just yet, would rather just get together and shoot the breeze and have some decent grub

I said this in the California section too but... if you decide to do a Nor Cal / Bay Area meet, I'd probably be down, as at the current time I'm kinda living in both places (long story). My regular stomping grounds is protegeclub.com though, I don't check here too often, late 8)

i'm in san diego, we can caravan if you like. up to you, i'm still uncertain as to my departure time. check your email if you checked the web, i'll mail you my cell to help you decide. i'm going to leave later tonight (11pm or so) if i don't hear any departure time from you, as i can find plenty to do throughout the night in the LA area, and people will start showing up for the AutoX around 7:30 or so.. i think it runs till 3 or four in the afternoon, but it clears out pretty quickly after that. either way, you can call me if you need any assistance finding the place, i have directions for getting there via the 5 freeway below.
