Does anyone know if there is a company that makes LED bulbs for the rear license plate lights? I have them on my Corvette and they make a big difference

I understand the appeal of LED lights, but what kind of "big difference" do the bulbs make on rear licence plate lights? It can't possibly be a safety thing unless you want the cops to be able to read your plate more easily.

Lights up the road under the plate and also makes it more visible.

Not to mention, goes with the rest of the tail light leds

I worked with a young kid who had a Chevy Cavalier and had both plates covered with a smoked acrylic protector. He got ticketed because the cops are 'supposed' to be able to read your plates easily.

Absurd the number of people driving around with burned out rear license lights. Almost as bad as the GM truck drivers with one front DRL always out.

It's the law here that plate lights must be lit
