oh yeah i even went to take a pic and label where and totaly forgot to post it here ya go

the part where i cut it was up against the lip by the bolts youll see when you look at yours and the rest i just hammered down and no problems ive seen people relocate their and mod it all crazy its just that simple

and my strut bar is not on because i removed it when i pulled my motor and was to lazy to put it on for the pic

it was really really really easy only took a few minutes most was just cutting the piece with my hack saw but if you got a cut off wheel itll be quicker even with the hack saw it wasent to bad...good luck with the rest of the build ...cant wait till i can get back on mine hopefully in a few weeks the motor will be back in and ill be on the road again....till then keep ZOOMIN

i like how the back seats flip forwards like that. i dont know why i would ever need it unless i needed to get to the fuel pump and even then it is easy to take the back seat out. but i still like it

Yeah same here I like the seats mine come out pretty easy since they aren't bolted down I can pull en out real quick and slap them in when needed

i didnt know the seats were different from the P5 and i didnt want to go out and buy new ones again but overall its a pretty cool and easy addition

also did you put the strut bar brace under or over the cruise control support? and im looking at 17" rims and tires this week, what kind of rim/tire should i get without it rubbing the fenders? pretty much have people sitting in the back of my car everyday.

I put it over the cruise control it wouldnt look good with the cruise on top of the strut bar...and for rims 17's are perfect not to big where you cant turn very well and not to small where you would get alot of tire roll i dont know the specs of my rims but im guessing they are 17X7 or 7.5 one of the 2 if im not mistaken its the norm...if you went wider it would rub unless you do a tire stretch to fit more wheel in there

alright thanks and how about the offset or whatever it is(im not good with rims/tires) what kind of tires should?

im right there with you dont know much about the offset...and as for tires it all really depends on what your budget is and what you are planning to do with them..
if they are just for everyday driving then what ever is good for snow or whatever the weather is up there...if its for autox then some with some sticky ness to them...
im running kumho extas got them for like a bill a piecs they are pretty good for the price i guess but like i said it really depends on the weather up there ive heard not to get all season tires they suck balls in the snow from what ive read.

your best bet is to ask at a tire shop they can explain everything to you aswell as the offset and give you some options then you can go somewhere else or online to find the tires at a better deal...just an idea

make sure they are the right bolt pattern 4X100 my rims came off a CRX and one day i was gonna go to the coast and i tried to put them on my accord and they didnt fit the bolt pattern was bigger on the accord...just an fyi if you didnt know about that...i had a buddy buy some rims for his caviler but the same thing the bolt patter was to big so he was stuck with some rims he couldnt use and they were ugly ass rims and he couldnt sell them because no one wanted them so he just finally gave them away he was out 5 bills so dont make the same mistake he did

I have 17x7 rims with 40 offset.
My tires are 215-50-17 so it's HUGE!!,rubs when i pass every bump and when i have passenger/s in the back seat.
so i will STRONGLY recommend NOT to get any more than 215-40-17 if you have 17's and 40 offset

ill make sure of that, and i hope people that are keeping up with this thread dont make that mistake either

@Argie so do you think 205-40-17 is a good size?

OH i forgot to mention after 3 hours of cutting through metal i finally got the braces to fit but now im missing the bolts for the strut bar and nobody has the bolt im looking for, really ticked...

ill make sure of that, and i hope people that are keeping up with this thread dont make that mistake either

@Argie so do you think 205-40-17 is a good size?

That's the size i wil get.
I am thinking of taking the current tires off the car and buy those since the 'rubbing" is driving me crazy,i rolled the fenders a little but still.
All of that is my fault for not having inform and educated myself on that matter.
I hope i could be of help to others so there is no regrets on buying the wrong size.
Keep in mind that my rims are 40 offset, situation may be different with other rims.

i have 205/40/17 in the rear and 215/45/17 in the front me personally i think the 215's will be fine they arent much bigger and you get more tire the 205's theyre to thin and the problem i had with them is when i hit anything i felt it...with the 215's i have more cushion and dont feel it that bad

205/40/17s are what I run with my 17x7 +38 wheel. I used to rub a tiny bit on the passenger rear wheel well lip until I rolled the lip. So that size is good, however your speedo will be slightly off. its less than 2mph, but just so you know.
