Kumho Tires anyone???

I need tires, so im looking on tirerack.com there are these Kumho tires they look beefy and thats what i want. i want tires that will last more than 20,000miles.. has anyone used these or can u recomend a tire for me? here is the link.

They are pretty crappy. Very very noisy and no traction when cold or wet. The 712's are much better. I currently have the ASX's. I have over 10K including 2 auto-x's on them and they are doing OK. And I drive pretty hard.

tires.com has FREE SHIPPING right now, and their prices are better.
I'm looking at oversized tires, because you get a better ride and price (but sacrifice a small amount of acceleraton)
Look at 205/50/16's (slightly larger diameter), and 205/55/16's (5% larger diameter).
When you go to 205/55, you get into the general tire sizes used by more manufacturers, instead of the wierd 195/50/16 of mazda. I run 205/45/16's now, my acceleration improved greatly, but I'm also putting a bit more miles on my car, RPM-wise.

205/55 is almost an inch taller, which means about 3" bigger around. good if you're looking to do an AMC Pacer conversion, or are looking for the inadvertent speeding ticket.
