Hello,

I am wondering what everyone thinks about the Kuhmo ASX? I need new all season tires for my MSP and have done some research regarding handling and all season performance, but I need additional advice from people who know what their talking about. I was looking at the Goodyear F1 all seasons, but I hear the road noise is terrible. Any thoughts on the ASX's?

Thanks!

I don't have first hand experience with the asx, but I do have a question. You don't want to run dedicated summer/winter tires?

I don't like ASX's much. They squeal under minimum load. And don't grip well in the rain let alone snow in my experience.

Go with the AST's they are great in the rain and in light snow.......

ive been runnin the asx for a while on my msp. no probs

At least with the AST's you save a little money. I just don't feel like the ASX competes with other tires in its price range. All opinions tho... Maybe I just got a whack set of ASX's?

i noticed a difference between my balding Nexen 3000s and the new Kumhos i replaced them with. not as good grip on the kumhos as far as handling. wheel spin didn't seem to change much tho

I cannot afford it to be honest. I just want a good high performance all season tire that shows what the MSP really can do on a budget. If i could spend $900 on tires I would, but just like almost everyone else I cannot justify it. I suppose the word crisp is what I am looking for. The ASX is an upgrade from the AST. So, from the reviews I have read at discount tire, it is a superior tire. I can get the whole set of ASX mounted out the door for $530, but the Goodyear F1 all seasons are about $100 more out the door. Would anyone suggest a different high performance all season tire? Just dont tell me the Falken 912's cause I will not skimp that much.

By the way, thanks for everyones advice and suggestions so far.

Have you looked at Falken Ziex 912s? That's a set I was looking at, but I haven't made a decision yet.

gooo for it! i had a pair of kuhmo asx's on my MP3, they are great tires, especially for the price!

I'm running the asx's right now. The only complaint I have with them is they're not the greatest on poorly maintained winter road IMO

i have the asx's on my p5 and they are pretty good so far
recently, i actually flew into a corner faster then i wanted to and they actually handled it very well, didnt lose grip or anything
they have a very good treadwear rating so im expecting them to last a while
and to the road noise, they arent bad at all, i have an exhaust though so im used to noise lol
