So other than bigger down/ mid/ exhaust pipe, gauges for monitoring, what else would I need to shop to add this to my car?

MSP ecu will be drug of choice. Might add turbo timer to keep setup cool and calm. What would be maximum boost stock internals could handle with a .71 trim snail?

It comes complete with the downpipe. A bigger exhaust is recommended, but not required.

You need an oil tee from the back of the block, and oil bung in your pan for the return line, gauges, and some kind of tuning solution (MSP ECU, an FMU, Haltech, etc).

Turbo timer is kind of a waste of money. After all, it's a water cooled turbo anyway.

Maximum boost on a stock motor would be 8-9psi assuming you have timing control. If not, don't go past 6.

I haven't taken the VTCS off due to the fact that I was looking at the possibility of boosting in the future.

...what?
how does vtcs apply in this situation lol maybe im missing something

but i wouldnt run this kit with just a MSP ECU, you would get fuel cut like crazy, you NEED at minimum a SSAFC with possibly bigger injectors depending on how much boost

Bigger Fuel Pump?

on stock internals prob not( since you can only run low boost) , this kit really wouldn't be to ideal for people on stock engines, you'll throw a rod way to easy

how are the ic pipes routed?

They both run through the chassis on either side of the radiator. It's the cleanest way of doing it, however it does require you to cut a little bit of sheet metal out of the way to make extra room for the piping. The metal you cut away isn't structural.

Honestly, the cheapest and easiest solution to running this kit would be to run a Vortech 10:1 FMU and call it a day. That will be fine for 6psi. Beyond that, you want some kind of engine management.

yeah man, beautiful stuff

the kit, naturally. bump for an awesome member. howd you like the 71R instead of the 60RS?
edit: and what were the A/R's on both turbos?

im surprised you tapped out the top end on the 28RS. how many psi were you running? and have you considered trying the .86 A/R for the best of both worlds?
