koni str.t with stock springs?

Hey. Have a quick question... i need new shocks and struts on my 07 mazda 3. Koni str.t are on sale and im thinking of putting them on with my stock springs. Has any one done this? Most people seem to use the pro kit springs with it.... i have enough trouble with pot holes as it is and would like to use my stock springs.... any help would be great. Thanks
