kocking when shifting first gears?

I have had my Mazdaspeed3 for 6 months. Just the other day i was driving to work and started to notice that upon acceleration a stop that my switching of 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd gears i feel and hear a little knock below my left foot and along the left side of the car. This knocking goes away when i reach 3rd gear. This does not affect the accel. but just has me worried that maybe something is wrong with my clutch or transmission?

do you have cobb sri???? if so its you sri bracket check it out. i have same problem

Well i know its stock. I am not up on my car knowledge. It just seems weird that all of a sudden it happens when i have not had this problem ever. it doesnt effect the accell of anything... wondering if something i broken or not ill probably take it in.

What are you doing about this problem? My car is at the dealer right now...I don't know if they are replacing the bracket for free or if they are going to charge me.

Did you replace your bracket? If so, what are you going to do to keep it from happening again?

I read on Mazdaspeed Forums someone was suggesting buying the Cobb Turbo Inlet to allow more flex, when others said they removed the bracket and left it that way. We must do somthing thow because that clink clink clink is so annoying!

I think the battery bracket needs to be rewelded if it breaks, I dont know if the dealer will do that.

counter bore and drill out the bracket spot weld and put a sheetmetal screw in there. That's what I did, no weld burn on the paint and crap.
