SOLD
- mods, lock 'er up -

Set of brand new KMD internals, purchased over the winter from another member on here.
Never got to install cos of the cold weather, then traded a friend his pump with ptp internals for my stocker and some beer money. Found these while pretending to clean the house, im sure they'll be happier in someones car than in my closet.

What you see pictured is what you get...internals and printed set of installation instructions
$220 shipped

the stock HPFP sucks at holding constant pressure, especially if you have some mods done to your car. If you are past the basic mods and on to fmic, turbo back exhaust and ecu tuning at higher boost, a pump upgrade is a must. My stock pump was quitting on me with already with a basic cobb ap stage2 tune with an open exhaust cutout....huge fuel pressure drops, stuttering, fuel cuts... You can buy a cp-e pump for $650-700, a ptp pump for $500....but both are merely the stock MS3 pump with upgraded internals (which is why both companies require your stock fuel pump as a core). If you are handy, buying internals (kmd or ptp) and installing them yourself saves you a couple hundred just for not being lazy basically.

Yes, kmd has better reviews, but ptp (except their old line of internals) has less than 2% fail rate. My pump's been used for around 10k miles b4 i got it and still putting out 1800+ psi, so i'm gonna keep my fingers crossed and could use the cash for other stuff. Sad truth is everyone bashes parts when they fail, very few praise them when they dont.

no clue, i got them from a member not a vendor...check with kmd about warranty. Given that you COULD screw up the installation, i don't know if anyone covers internals. Good thing is kmd does not require a religious break-in period like ptp does....

dont take my word for it, but as far as i know it's the same engine & pump...neither kmd, ptp or cp-e sites distinguish between 1st or 2nd gen for their pumps/internals

ok...what does it look like? if they were used there would be scuff marks on the narrow end of the shaft from the travel in the pump (getout)
