Klunk fix bracket and camber plate pictures

I'm waiting with a wad of cash for those camber plates. They will work with my tokico Illuminas too, =)

Depending on the sway bar size I may get that too.

Mike R - it'll definitely stiffen up the feel - you're right that the bending force will be turned into "anti sway" torsion. Don't know the degree of stiffening tho.

I'd love to try it before I bought another swaybar. It's probably less than a new swaybar, and I'd still want Mica's brackets for the aftermarket bar anyway so I wouldn't have the klunk.
 
From what I know about the bracket it'd be relatively straightforward to re-bush (or machine) to accept several bar diameters. It'll probably come out for the stock MSP bar diameter (which is also Mazda's and Racing Beat's bar) first.

Hey Dave: Hope you're up and at 'em soon! Pent up demand exists here - you can even hear it clunking (ior is it "klunking") down the road!!

Updates Febuary 04

Ok, again thanks for all the "Get Wells" . I will try and answer most of the posted questions. But first a little update info. Next week I should be picking up a decent supply of pieces to weld up some brackets for retail. The prototype is holding up extremly well. What I am still debating is the type of bushing to use with the stock bar for those who want to retain it. At this point I will say that the three piece bar is the way to go, period. It utilizes the German self lubricating sleeve bearings which make no noise, no deformation, no grease to attract dirt. The handling is unparrelled with anythig else on the market. The clamp on arms are designed to recieve the billet end links with a direct downward force vector, unlike some others which angle the end links.

Sorry, I digress, the bushing for the stock bar issue is this, the brackets will accomidate any bushing/bracket available, so customers can upgrade to the three piece bar. This being said, I have tried all combinations for the stock bar. The rifled polyurethane pieces work well but need lubrication periodically. The uprated stock bushings also work well but are also prone to squeeking, need billet clamps special for the stock bushing, or modified steel clamps similar to the poly bushing clamp. Note that the powder coating reaks havok when it comes to sqeeks. With either bushing, the powder coat should be removede in the bushing area. This should help those who have the new bushings and sqeeks. It also must be llubricated.

Back to the three piece bar, the bar is one inch (25.4mm) in outer diameter! Being hollow, it's section actually provides a higher rate than the stock solid bar. The clamp on arms are short with two mounting locations. At present, I am using the shorter mounting for ax. Nice thing to note here is that different center section bars can be provided. What this means is that I can supply basically a stock center bar , one inch diameter ends where they go through the bushings, then it tapers to 20 mm for most of the center. Allowing use if the sleeve bearings which need no lubrication. I am working on some calcs and an equation to resolve the rates quickly. Will be able to provide stock rate and available bar rates on our site soon.

Camber plates are going in tomorrow evening. WAY COOL! They are designed to not allow the elements to invade the bearing or engine compt. These willl be in the 325+ $$ range. Stainless and aluminum construction, will work with stock springs/Tokico or the KW suspension.

I am trying to keep prices for the brackets in the 225-250 range including billet brackets and included bearings. The brackets bolt on with no drilling or welding and look great under the car! The attached pics are final prototypes, but lack the anodizing on the alum. parts.

Great work Dave, looking forward to seeing your final solution. I assume that whenever you get things worked out buying the whole package (bar, brackets, endlinks) will include the necessary bushings and everything to fully replace the racing beat bar on the back of the Mazdaspeed?

This is correct, the brackets will not work with the AWR bar, from what I have seen, it is bent/formed a bit differently than the stock bar.

Yes, you will be able to purchase the complete kit with everything which will bolt on directly.
