So i had installed my system a couple of weeks ago everything had been working fine. 3 days ago it stopped working but i didnt have time to look at it. Well i tried to start my car this morning wont even click over. I cant even unlock the doors with the remote button.. i just got this battery not even a year ago... i go to check the system to see whats up and i see that the power light is on without the keys in it...my system killed my battery.. so my question is do i need a new battery or can i just get it charged and drive it around and should be fine?

I assume you mean your amps power light?
If so, you need to wire the remote turn-on terminal to an accessory circuit of the car or to the remote turn on wire of an aftermarket head unit.

All you can do is try. Sometimes letting a battery die all the way will kill it for good, but if you're lucky you may be able to charge it. Also if the battery is under a year old they usually come with a warranty on the battery. Take it to where you got the battery and have them test it, just don't say anything about how you drained it. I had a starter go bad in my last car which took the battery out with it, battery was about a year old and advance auto replaced it without a receipt, no questions asked.

ya sry i ment the amp light and there is a wire for the remote turn on. I got the car jumped and drove around for 30 min. shut off the car and it turns back on so i guess well see what happens.

if your amp stays on when the car is off, the remote wire is incorrectly wired to the car/radio.
OR that amp is fried

Yea man, if it started back up on it's own you should be OK. Wouldn't hurt to take it back where you got it and have them put the tester on the battery just to be sure. Mine tested bad even though it would still start the car and got a replacement for free.

Seriously. The worst thing that can happen is they tell you the battery is fine. If not, you get a brand new one. Sounds like a good deal to me.

everything is working so far! it keeps starting up.. the place i bought it from is kinda far plus i have triple A if anything does go wrong..
