keyless range sucks after remtoe start install

I had a Command(remote) Start installed and when I went to use the factory remote the range was like 15' and it use to be 100+. I tested and replaced the remote battery -no luck. Does anyone have any ideas what could have happened before I take it back to the guys who installed the remote start.

lol the range is only 15 feet or so with my Protege5 remote without a remote start installed. I actually have heard of there being interference causing a reduced range when adding a remote start.

Question: did they hook it up so that you use the factory remote to start the car or do you have a secondary remote?
