glad to hear everything worked out. I could not survive without tunes...

that makes me a little uncomfortable. now anyone posing as a member can get the code here on this forum, steel our radios (which i happen to really like) and use them at will, becuase a member from this community sent them the instructions to do this.... nice. thanks for making it that easy for the potential bad guy.
(i had the same problem, took my car to the dealership, took them about 10min to fix.)

maybe since the problem is fixed, this thread should be deleted?

my dealership had no idea, kenwood canada told me to call any service center to have it fixed, i gave up after my 8th call. One place near my house told me a guy picks up radios on tuesdays and thursdays to fix them. He was gona take my radio tuesday and bring it back 2 days later and charge me 50$ for it.

Yes, now one more person has the instructions ... but the only way i'm giving this info to anyone ever is if i can either verify myself in person that they own a mazdaspeed and have the problem, or if it's a member on this forum that i know. IE, not someone with 15 posts. From the number of posts i made and everything, i think people know i really have a mazdaspeed.

But anyway, what's stopping me from stealing your radio and bringing it to a kenwood dealer ? Same difference. If they want your radio, they'll have it. Same thing with your car ... if someone really wants it, they'll take it. They'll even put it on a flatbed and drive away if they have to. I've seen it done and unfortunetely, i know people who've done it. Trust me ... nothing can stop them when they really want something if they're good at what they do.

Exactly, trust me if someone steals your radio its probably a professional that already knows how to get around your car alarm, so the chances of them knowing how to get around a Kenwood code is probably almost 90%.

Also him knowing how to get/change the code isnt a big deal, there are always back doors for everything out there thats run by a computer.
