Kartboy Bushings Installed!

Well, I finally installed my Kartboy bushings on my ES today...it took me about an hour, the stupid nut wouldn't come off, and instead, the whole stud came off...it wasn't too much of a problem...but to get the stock bushing out, that was a pain...I finally figured out how to do it using a screwdriver...the rest of the install was pretty easy...

The shifter has a much better feel now, definitely more precise, less sloppy, reverse seems to be a bit easier to get into, as does first. All in all, a great mod, definitely worth the money...next comes the Kartboy SS :)

i got the short shifter in my MP5 last night, but the POS bolt for the bushings wouldn't come off. I practically stripped it before i gave up and decided to wait until i can use my mechanics air gun.

Are the bushings supposed to last forever? I've had mine for almost a year and was just wondering if at some point they'll wear down and need to be replaced. Kartboy SS (cool) Kartboy knobs

yeah the stock bushings were hell for me, it took me 20 mins or so of screwing with it to realize its one big grommet instead of 2 half ones like the kartboys, so i got a knife and hacked away at it, which worked well. but after all was finished, loved it

Just put mine on today also.....took longer to jack the car up than to put on the Bushing :D Total of about 15 minutes to install. Congrats on the new mod (thumb)

Just got my bushings today!! Can't wait to put them on, waiting on my TWM shifter I ordered to go along with those Kartboy bushings. Might put them on w/ stock shifter to see if there's a difference.

Put bushings on today, and what a difference. Think I'll loosen the nut a bit, but shifting is mouch more solid! 20min install, nice and easy!! (headbang)
