OK I did not blow up my engine but I did something stupid.

I was experimenting to see if I could here the turbo spool up louder with out an airfilter in front of it so I took it of for a day and drove it around. Apparently I drove it around some roads with gravel because my turbo sucked up a rock and is destroyed. A rebuild will cost around 300 dollars so I am debating if I should rebuild it or try a t3/4 garrett unit for kicks.

Regardless I am a stupid ass and I will be without my car for like a week now:mad:

Smooth move there killer.....LOL....just put a T3/T4 on there and see how it does. If you don't like it go back to a T3. That'll teach ya to drive without a filter on a GRAVEL road.;)

They say you learn from your mistakes, and I thought I should be the smartest person in the world. I think you can take the title now. :)

Next time try driving your car around without the oil filter! j/k :D

Sorry to hear about that.:(

I hear that if you take off your brake pads then it sounds just like racing brakes, also the metal on metal from the caliper brakets to the rotors give you a "slotted" effect.....that means that even if you decide to put the brakes back on you'll have better performance.
Being the MP3 performance pioneer you are, maybe you could try out this and tell it how it works? ;)
Seriously though...reall smooth move, I'd say try out a frankenstein 20G turbo, those things are so so sweet.

Haha jeez spoolin, with a history like that, maybe you shouldn't moderate the F/I section... haha.

All I can say is, "Everything seems like a good idea at first."

That's why I think about it three times and then ask someone else before I do it.

I am gonna change the name of this post...maybe uhmm Lets Rag on Spoolin!:D

Well I am known for frequent bursts of genious.........Hey it sounded cool while it lasted though. Funny thing is a lot of guys I know run noo filter and they never had a damn problem and I drive the car for thirty minutes and I blow the freagen turbo:mad:

Do your turbo kits come with an rock in the turbine included?
Or would I have to do that myself??

heh heh heh just teasing :)

Spoolin, what kind of drugs did you took that day!!!

You are lucky that you got nothing in the engine!

Next time try peanut oil in your motor! :D :D :D

If you are seriously thinking of getting a T3/4 garrett turbo let me know how much the price is. My turbo guy might be able to beat the price. He got a T3/4 for a friend of ours for 450.00. If you want I could talk to him for you.

hell ya! Damn I buy turbos at dealer rate and get not even close to that. What is the catch? Is it new? what are the specs? is it a garrett?

All garrett parts. The company will build it after you place the order, with shipping it might be a little more. The catch is that there is no catch. My turbo guy is in close with a salesman of the company. Do you want one for sure.. I will let my turbo guy know.

Also I was wondering you said that you had an HKS universal exhaust system right? I was wondering if you could hook a brother up. Could you let me know what site you found it on. Thanks:D
