Well, I finally got around to buying the rims I wanted. I think I got a pretty good deal on them. I bought the Racing Harts C5's. They are 17*7 with kuhmo tires. Also bought the springs from www.tirerack.com. Wish me luck and will have pics by this time next week.

I paid 1099.00 for the wheels. Free shipping, valve stems, lugs, and mount and balance. I couldnt find another site that could match. The springs will be delivered to my work on thursday and the rims on friday. I also have a 2002 red MP5.

40mm:confused: ....the guy told me that they will fit...they have a silver protege 5 in there gallery. The guy I talked to said that the wheels on the car are 18*7.5 with a 42mm offset with eibach springs with NO RUBBING..Go figure

Suggest you do a search for "tire fitment" and see what other's have found about 17" and 18" wheel sizes. There is a ton of good, specific information on this board on this subject. You might want to review before you take delivery.

20 bones says once you lower your car with those wheels, you are going to eat tires like hell. i have 16's and they are +45. i know 17's need to be like +48. there is no way 18 at +40 will work. i hate bastards that sell you stuff you cant even use. if it is not too late, cancel your order. buy your springs from no limit motorsports and your wheels from rishie. he well hook you up right. i only payed 195 shipped for my springs from no limit uposed to 235 plus shipping from tire rack. look around before you spend all that money. it will be worth it

I didnt get the 18's. i got the Racing hart 17's wit a 40 mm offset. I remember talking to someone here who had 17 inch enkie wheels that were 38mm offset with springs and he had no rubing at all and full turn radius. If they do rub. Can there be a way to keep the rims and do something to prevent rubbing. Thanks

J:confused:

Bro even the 17's in that fitment will rub. Guaranteed. He was pulling your chain. When you are lowered and you put people in the car you're screwed.

FYI, the "Racing Hart" C5 is no longer produced that is a multipiece wheel. If you're getting those make sure they are new.

Otherwise you're getting the RH evolution C5 knockoff which is crap in comparison to the real deal. I know that you probably think you bought Racing Hart's but if they are a one piece you were mislead.

I'm assuming that price includes tires so you surely did not get "Racing Harts". If you were mislead by an advertisement or the salesman you have a right to cancel your order.

THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN BE DONE TO FIX THE RUBBING. There is no easy alternative or risk free alternative to avoid this. Unless done highly proffessionally you could incur more damage.

Guaranteed the 17,7 +40 even with a 205/40/17 with lowering springs and only two passengers will sound like s***. Mad rubbing.

Follow my fitment recipe and you can't go wrong. The impulsive buyer will get screwed. Patience is a virtue.\

Laters, Rishie

Spacers push the wheel out. That's the opposite of what he needs. He needs more front spacing not less. Like I said, there's no fix. Go widebody or pump your fenders, hehe. That will cost more than your rims and tires, IMO.

Rishie

I talked with the guy at wheelmax. He said that the silver pro5 that they have in there gallery is on 18's with 215/35/18 series tires and only a 44mm offset with the eibach pro kit. NO RUBBING WHATSOEVER!!!. He also said if they dont fit that I can ship them back at no cost and get a new set of wheels and tires. He also said that Racing Hart did discontinue the C'5, but bought them back around 2 months ago. I remember when I was on there website when I got my car in May and they didnt have the C'5. Not to mention that ever Protege5 is made different. You put 20 of them in a row, they will all be different some way. But maybe im a skeptic, who knows, they might not fit.

there is no Racing Hart c5..they were discontinued a long time ago..
im sure as rishie is, the shop i work at with is DIRECT with Dazz...and i know for a fact that there is no longer a racing hart c5..there isnt even the original RH EVO c5 anymore, now theres the rh evo c5 Kai, which has the racing hart name stamped on one of the spokes
as for me..i should be getting those volks with 60mm offset soon..right rishie? haha...peace
