Just installed my Injen CAI

Install took about 40 min, that's including clean up. Took it for a spirited drive on some back roads around town. No CELs to report yet. Definitely notice the power increase on the butt dyno lol. Idle seems a lot smoother, and it had a great sound to it once you got up in the RMPs. Not bad for $180 shipped. Got a pic while I was doing the install, but none of the engine bay. You can't really see much anyway as you put the stock ram intake back into place to keep the ecu cooled. If others would like tho, I could snap a few tomorrow after work.

Id like to see it I am planning on making my own. But id still like to see it.

Thanks Paul.

So I snapped a few pics after I got off work. But I work late so I had to use my lamp again cuz the sun was gone :(

Here's the major components of it... took this one before the install obviously.

Next we have an installed pic from the top. Like I said, you can hardly notice it because you keep the stock ram air in place for the ECU cooling.

Here's a side view from the top. A bit more noticeable.

And here's a shot from underneath. Not the best shot cuz I was too lazy to get my jack out lol. I do like how it tucks into the splash shield.

I wonder if this intake would be compatible with corksport's skid tray.

Also, how has throttle response been with this? I know the corksport intake has had favorable reviews in that regard, I'm just wondering if the longer intake path of the injen will adversely affect it.

I was/still might make my own, but for $180 shipped I'm only saving $100 or so, minus my time. Where can I buy the Injen for $180 shipped?

Thanks Andy! I like to fab things, but time is money...and the 3-4 hours I'd spend is easily worth the bolt in and go. Came out to be $181 w/free shipping. I'll be installing the PSS coilovers, intake and AWR engine mount this weekend (hopefully).

I'm in the exact same boat as you. Love to fab, but there's a limit on value. Especially when dealing with things like MAF's and inlet sizes and such.
