Just Had Boost Controller Installed

I heard that the integral wastegate only worked to 6.9psi did you buy a external wastegate or is it holding up ok. i want to buy a boost controller if i don`t need a external wastegate

Nope There is two ways to setup a turbo:

One is like ours - A 5 PSI spring in the Wastegate to always open it a certian boost level

Others is a stock boost controller that a vac line runs to and the ECU controls the boost.

Simple put on a bost controller and "fool" the Spring for more boost
As far as the Fuel cut - Greddy and HKS make a FCD and that 3 bar Map Sensor works to (honda trick for hondatas and other high boost cars ie WRX's)

Anyone know what mazda used to control the fuel cut?
GTX's have an "overboost sensor" that cuts fuel at around 10 - 11#'s. If the MSP has something similar ,its easy to bypass or modify to allow higher boost while still keeping the sensor.
Ive looked under the hood and do not see anything like my gtx has. Maybe mazda uses a new design or is it actually computer controlled? Does anyone know for sure?

its most likely controlled by the map sensor. Like stated you can do the Gm 3bar (88 grand national $39.99) map sensor trick. ALot of people do this . . .Honda, Subaru...

I could be mistaken but it was my understanding that we have a MAF sensor just like the miata and the gtx not a MAP.
Like i said i could be wrong but taking a quick look at it, it appears to have a nearly identical construction to my old miatas maf sensor. If it does have the maf then i dont think the GM map upgrade would work with out a stand alone ecu.
