Just got a ticket..

My first ticket EVER! got it for peeling out. And I even made sure that no cops were around and out of no where the lights came up...well I feel like crap cause the insurance will kill if i can't get this off my record. My mom has had like 4 tickets in a 3 month period and knocked them all off.

The charges I got were Ordinance: Exhibition Driving and Statute: Basic Speed. Does anyone know if I can go on probation with these charges? What should I do at the court date? Thanks in advance!

no it is just a few points, nothing major. how big of a peel out was it? say your foot slipped off thre clutch at court and since it is your first ticket ever it will most likely get reduced down to a non moving violation. at least that is how it is in ny and wa

it was actually pretty big, well to the point where you know it was on purpose. My friend peeled out too, and he got the same ticket.

Prima Facie just means that if u squeal your tires or kick up dirt and gravel sufficient evidence that you committed the crime.

dude if it's your first ticket just shoot for a prayer for judgement, or even try for an improper equipment ticket. if you get the prayer for judgement you just can't get any tickets for the next 3 years or this one will come back up. if you get the improper ticket charge you just pay a fine and court cost but no points on ins. if your really worried about it, then just a get lawyer and that will be an easy one for him to get you out of.

Whatever you do, don't LIE about it in court. That is a crime, and is just wrong. Go to court, admit your mistake, apologize, offer to do traffic school and/or a day of community service, wear a suit/dress, promise not to do it again, and ask for prayer for judgement continued. Take your parents with you. If the police officer does not make an appearance that may help your cause also.

Go to court and claim genetics is why you got a ticket. Its always the parents fault. (thumb)

i had 72 in a 45, state trooper got me, and my ticket was gonna be 210 dollars. i got it in november or december of last year, he wrote i got it february 14th and my date for appearance was in 06, so he ****** up and i talked to the D.A and she dismissed it because they cant **** s*** up on your ticket, so read over your ticket!
