is there a windshild washer motor for the back? if so where? my rear windshild washer dont work.....

sorry dont know much about mazda's. I just sold my 1979 malibu 2 door, 305HO, alumi intake and valve covers, headers, 3:73 posi.

washer fluid just kinda dribbles down the windsheild back there, and makes a mess
not really very well planned by mazda

ahh i had that car but with a 350. i loved mine.


i never use my rear washer becuase it does jsut dribble out and does nothing. It gets feed by the same washer bottle and runs into the back by the same motor. if its not working you might not have neough fluid or there might be a clog in the line.

either way no problem

my malibu had a 350 but the a@% H$^* that built the motor for the car put a 327 big lob crank in it. your not going to belive this but he took a grinder to the crank and grinded the lob's down to fit in the block. I burned every bearing out front to back. was real pissed when I saw that......

Are you talking about the wiper blade or the squirter? I believe there is a seperate pump for the front and back squirters, and there is a wiper motor in the hatch.

both washer pumps on the protege5 are located in the washer tank, passenger side front fender.

ok thank you. ya the squirters.... they dont work for the rear. the pump dont even seam to come on at all..... well getting the mp5 has been nothing but problems. some times I wish I would have kept my 79 malibu. dont get me wrong I love my peotege5. butt I wanted a yellow one with a sunroof. the dealership screwed me on this one and I ended up with a silver protege5, without a sunroof. trying to make the best of it. I still got a protege5. this is the first and prob. my last car bought at a dealership. never again.......

Take it back to the dealership and see if they'll take care of the rear wiper repair. 'Tis worth a try...and don't let this dealership put you off all dealerships as there are a few decent ones out there. At least your P5 is more fun to drive than any Malispew...

I have issues with mine as well. I thought they were the motors so I did the research and ordered two of them. There are two pumps in the reservoir. I got my pumps in and realized that the lines were just frozen from the idiots down south (where I bought the car) filling it up with plain water.

They've been working but when it gets really cold they still freeze up. I think there's still a good percentage of water in there.

was real fun to drive.... people always freeked when the car shot into the road sideways. I loved to go int the underground parking and light'em up.... lol that was awesome. old people shacking there fingers at me lmao... should have kept it.... well looking at something els fun to drive to.... got my eye on a 78 chevy 4X4 350, headers, lift kit..... frend has it. told me I could have it for $850... lol
