2005 Mazda 3 Sport

hey i'm not sure if i'm in the right forum or whatever but i just bought a 2005 mz3 and i heard they were really easy to break into. someone told me i could take it to the dealer and they could get a plate put in so this won't happen, but i'm not sure if this would be considered a manufacturer defect or if i would have to pay? if anyone has any info it would be appreciated! thanks

Look in the "welcome "section forum under the thread "cakewalk for theives", plenty of info on that subject.

Welcome aboard and congrats on the new ride.. as jphilly said look in the "welcome" section... and we normally dont call them mz3... the regular Mazda 3 we tend to abreviate M3 while the Mazdaspeed 3 gets the MS3 moniker... the only time you shouldnt use M3 is in a general car forum where they may think you are talking about a BMW M3

Damn, winning blue! I love that color and wanted it in the 2006 model year, but was looking too late. Couldn't find it in the GT package, so I waited and got lucky with the release of the MS3. Too bad they didn't offer that color, I may have still gotten an 2007 Mazda 3 if that was the case.
Don't worry about something as stupid as that "rumor". I'm sorry, but I think it would be much easier to just break the C-pillar window than to dick around with kicking in a door.
The threads/organization here are a little difficult to follow at first, but keep browsing and you will find most answers to questions you have and become comfortable with the format. You will also probably find some cool freebies as well in the "How to" section, etc. So congrats, and enjoy your car!

If anyone wants to break into any car all they need is a rock. How is that for easy :(

they used a brick in gone in 60 seconds. the rock doesnt fly through the air correctly. unless the proper size and shape of course. ie. brick shape.
