Did anyone know that they were going to close down? I called to see what time the parts department was open until and the guy says "we're gone, no longer open." Anyone know why? Oh well, not a huge deal. I'll just have to go somewhere else.

That sucks. Their service department was good. They knew where the sensitivity knob for the factory alarm was when another dealership said there was no sensitivity knob.

There was a write up about it in the free press. Apparently, they couldn't sell enough mazda's cause there was so much competition from the other two dealers. I got a letter in the mail from them saying that they were moving all my info to gerry gordon's. Also, I heard that the land that gauthier is sitting on is a gold mine cause its across from the casino. The article also said that they were offered big coin for the lot.

I heard from an inside source that Mazda cut them off because they refused to follow Mazda's selling guidelines.

well the real truth of the matter is, Gauthiers was bought out by the mazda company saying "get lost" due to ur poor selling average, and we are only allowed to have 2 dealers in the city un till more demand is met, Trust me i worked for the guy i knew whats really going on with it

lol reminda me of when i went to mazda and the guy didnt know what a tranny filter was
