Actually, most of those cars are pretty sweet looking. That S15 (yummy Vertex body kit) and FD3S will out-everything our Protegs. Don't hate what you don't understand.
Edit: Also, several of those cars seem to be built for hill climbs, so there the huge wings and front spoilers are very functional.

Ahhh, the ADM style. 
This what alot of the People in Japan percieve as american modification. (granted some of it is EXTREEM) and they love it.
It is kinda of a blight on the US scene, but also flatering in a sense.

The common Japanese regards people like them as troublesome. Usually, they are because a loud exhaust sound is raised at midnight and a residential street is run recklessly.
For them, it is so stylish that an exhaust pipe is prolonged for if it has be prolonged for!
In Japan, they are usually called "TAKE-YARI". "bamboo spear" is meant in English.
Similarly, for them, it is so stylish that a chin spoiler will be jutted out if it has jutted out.
In Japan, they are usually called "DE-PPA". "protruding tooth" is meant in English.
