hey all i have a question, i was helping my buddy drop a new engine in his 2002 mp5 and after we pulled his out i realized it had the same style intake manifold as the jspec mx6, ie two part with internal butterfly, i am not sure if is the same as the japan model, so this is one of my questions was it used on the p5 after 96 as a power adder in the p5s? has anybody swapped this to a mx6? i am really interested because cork sport sells the same one for 600 on their website, thanks for any relevant tips knowledge

yes, the jspec FSZE for the base model probes and mx6's had the VICS set up. same as the newer protege's.
the probe mx6 guys cant even use the intake manifold because there ecu is not designed for the vics system. so its not even worth the work. plus the protege guys actually upgrade to the non VICS intake as a power gain.
