its time to lose some weight

Man I am fat. I just tried on some of my good shirts and i could not fit into them. Starting friday I am really going to work out until i get real tired.

a good way to lose weight ive found is if you drink soda, STOP
drink water instead and you'll prob lose a few pounds

or maybe that was just me lol

No...I switched to Diet SOda and Changed the way I ate a few years ago, worked out just a bit and Lost 60lbs+...

Now I am back up some and need to lose 40 more(again)...but that because I have gotten lazy and laxed in what I eat.
I stayed pretty fit for about 4 years...so it was no Yo-yo effect for me...just me getting lazy.

Starting back to the Gym on the first....Got to get the Turkey day in First.

I am going to FL in the spring...and it would be nice to not feel like a Fattie while I am down there...Even if I am still just that.

That is about how much weight I wan't to lose.
Man did I gain alot of weight in a year.
Do you think I could lose about 60pds in a year?

I dunno..It took me a Good Year and a half to lose that...and I was highly motivated at the time.

I have been as heavy as 260 out of highschool('97) to as low as 185 about 5 years ago..I am now back to 250 but I am built totally different than I was in high school...Meaning I havea bit more mouscle mass so I dont look as fat..but I still am pretty overweight in my eyes.

I am also about to turn 31....and I know with age it gets harder and harder to keep the pound off.
If I get to a nice 210-220lbs, with a bit more muscle build..I will be fairly happy.
No matter what I am a big boy..I always have been and I always will be..I just need to learn how to deal with it and find my happy spot.

That is about what I weight 250 and I am 6'2.
It would be nice just to lose 40pds.
I can't even fit into my good clothes any more.

Should I take santrex-3 to help me in my weight loss?

NO...you should move your butt more and change what you're eating and the way you're eating.

There is no magic pill. It's a matter of eating properly, not eating junk/fast food and moving/exercising.

ECA stack does work wonders!

But I agree starting and sticking to a clean eating and workout plan should be the first two things on the list!
And yes you can loose 60lbs in a year, hell I lost 100lbs in a year (WITHOUT ECA stack or pills or anyting). You put in 30% effort you in return get 30% results....

good job nc. i've lost 10 lbs in a month using slimfast, of all things. i was still doing the gym thing twice a week with no noticeable results. the addition of the slimfast has really helped. the shakes and snack bars are actually really good. i actually haven't done the YMCA thing since i started the slimfast (not intentionally, my fiance got sick and then hurt her foot and since we work together and gym together i just haven't gone without her), so i'm interested to see what getting back to working out does for me. the only real changes slimfast has forced are a.) i eat more throughout the day (a shake or mealbar in the AM, a snack midmorning, a shake or mealbar plus 200 calories for lunch, an afternoon snack, then dinner) b.) i don't have junk food for lunch, the 200 calorie thing for lunch, in addition to the shake or meal bar is easy, there are plenty of good soups that are under 200 calories, plus a spicy chicken soft taco from taco bell is under 200 c.) i don't have 2 helpings (i.e. platefuls) of dinner. I used to never eat breakfast, or anything at all til lunch and then i'd eat junk. then not eat again till dinner and stuff myself.

you're supposed to eat a "sensible" dinner, I alternate between eating what i like (i.e. pizza, pasta, tacos, etc.) but not overdoing it and eating a hearty soup. There are plenty of soups out there that are 300-500 calories and eat like a meal (did i just steal some company's slogan?). Add a piece of bread or some crackers to that and it's plenty.

My wife told me to do something for her but I guess she got mad because I was lazy about it and she was still asleep well halfway and she said that is why you weigh 270lbs and it got me to thinking where did I go wrong with my weight I use to be in good shape and now I am so tired last time I looked my weight was 245lbs but now I think it has gone up. The worst thing is I can't let go of the sodas or energy drinks How can I get back on track I don't want to be a fat boy any more?

ditch the energy drinks. its useless sugar.

im at 173 right now. Just slowly dropping the weight. im aiming for 165 by summer.

^^^ Ditch the energy drinks and switch to diet soda if you have to at the very least!

NO! NO! and NO!
If there is one thing pretty much every nutritionist on the planet agrees on it is that diet soda is death to a diet. If you are thirsty drink water. Get plenty of sleep (most people have no idea how important enough sleep is to maintaining your weight). Eat healthy meals and keep low calorie healthy snacks around so you don`t get hungry. It is important to eat several small meals spread out over the day instead of two or three large ones.
Get up and get some exercise. Instead of watching Jeopardy, take a walk.

Yes, I know all this stuff, but no, I don`t do a good job of following it. I`m one of those who have researched the hell out of the subject but can`t seem to get off my ass and put it into practice.

I wish I could get down to 200lbs by the end of this year that would be great.

Don`t set unrealistic goals. Take your time losing the weight and it is more likely to stay off. Slow and steady wins the race. It took a long time to get out of shape enough that you are this disgusted. If it takes a couple of years to get healthy again, it`ll be worth it. The point is to keep gaining on it.
