Issues with 2007 m6 Ipod player ( need advice )

Purchased a fully loaded m6 touring edition and it came with the ipod player in the glovebox. I recently picked up an ipod so as i wouldnt have to keep burning new cd's.. and thought my troubles for music in my ride were over.... well.. i was wrong.

It seems the ipod reader will only play 20 or so songs from from ipod, yet my ipod has 125+ songs on it. I plug it in.. close my glove box, and im forced to hit skip song, or skip disc to get to the next track. After about 20-30 songs.. its back at the first song again without reading 80% of my playlist.

Now.. it took my a while the first time to realise that the instruments on my steering wheel only take it to the next song, yet if you hit the circular button on the radio face plate on the top left... it plays another song in that folder ( or something of the like ).. so if you burn your ipod with folders rather then just a play list.. you can skip alot more songs. But.. this isnt the issue.

I read the manual.. and it contains almost zero information about the ipod player. It basically tells you how to set it to random pick, or play in order.

Has anyone had this problem? Does anyone have any idea how to get the reader to play ALL the songs or at least get access to ALL the songs on my ipod?

NOTE: My roommate is the one who burnt the music to the ipod. He played the ipod in his acura and it played every song so its not an issue with the type of file of anything.. just the mazda reader.

Ive seen people using the ipod adapter that you attach to your car lighter and the music plays from a pre-set radio station but i bought the car with the option so i could enjoy it WITHOUT having wires etc all over the place... its been a few months now and its reallllllllyyyy getting annoying.

Any opinions or information is greatly appreciated..

yeah. do a quick search on that. it only plays certain playlists. its really a crappy product. no one likes it.

Also you can quickly press skip disk 2 times in a row it will then goto the next folder/file for a quick sec. you may see a 3 flash before playing or may not but that is how you change files..
