i know these guys run N/A proteges at 240 whp

"The ultimate engine management system available for your Mazda. Combining Fuel Injection - Direct Fire Ignition - PC Programmability, the net result is a powerful tool for system wide perfection. With its flexibility you can also control turbo boost or nitrous injection. It works on virtually any engine, turbo charged or normally aspirated - piston or rotary, anything you can dream up it can handle.
As you upgrade the performance output of your engine simply re-tune with a PC to the new set up. Its direct fire ignition system assures accurate spark control with a long spark duration to ensure complete combustion. When properly tuned this Total Engine Control system will produce great durability and power."

it's just a tecII, a full stand alone. yes, we can use it. if you want you can get the tec III. electormotive is the company that makes it

so all u would have to do is buy it and pay these guys to tune your car?

wow, i might just do that, they are 20 miles away from my house.

right......
they would be the guys to do it though, since all they do is proteges.......oh, and some rx-7's, but mostly proteges

they make some sick ass cars
they had a booth at one of our annual meets (Seven Stock VI)

they also had their protege there, that thing's insane!

I wonder what kind of increase in HP we would be looking at with that system. I don't live far from them either. I might just drive up there one day and see what they can do with my car for a few thousand $$$. If they can get me above WRX horsepower for about $4000 along with stability, I would be very interested.

ive seen some road races with that protege, it is competetive against cars with RWD and more power. Definately good engineering. :)

Anybody else notice they are using the stock airbox?

haha!
NO WAY IT"S STOCK!!!

it's ram air, they intake it from the foglight well

So it isn't the stock intake box with alittle mounting difference?
